US entertainer Pat Finn, who featured in beloved TV shows like "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has died at 60 years old.

The comedic improv actor succumbed at his home in Los Angeles this Monday after undergoing cancer treatment beginning in 2022, per news outlets.

"Pat Finn saw everyone as a friend - only friends he hadn't encountered," his family shared in a statement.

They added that he had "lived his life fully - with joy and exuberance".

A Prolific TV Career

His initial on-screen part was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he portrayed the lead character's sibling.

He subsequently landed a repeating character on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.

He played the part of the character Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, portraying a social organizer who would assign burdensome jobs to his guests.

Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, he had guest spots on a variety of popular shows, such as:

  • The King of Queens
  • "Friends"
  • "That '70s Show"
  • "House"

His most famous role for portraying Bill Norwood in "The Middle", appearing throughout eight seasons of the show between 2011 and 2018.

His work in movies include It's Complicated and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).

Finn appeared in a couple of episodes of Friends as Monica's love interest a doctor named Roger.

Beyond the Screen

Outside of his television work, Finn was an improv performer and worked as a teacher at the Colorado university, where he was a faculty member.

He was a member of a six-person improv troupe known as Beer Shark Mice.

"He guided, supported, and advised many learners during his career and you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who has a bad thing to say about him," his loved ones expressed.

Offering condolences, fellow actor actor Richard Kind noted there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, down to earth person you could encounter".

"Always positive, helping you be funnier and better. A great dad, a great guy," he shared publicly.

Pat Finn is remembered by his spouse Donna, three children, and his family.
