Football Analyst Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Top Flight Predictions

The Gunners' ten-match victorious run came to an end by the Black Cats before the international hiatus, however can the Premier League leaders recover against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still find a way to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this season, against artificial intelligence, readers and a variety of special visitors.

In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

The singer's latest album, the new release, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple charity football matches over time - but he is not planning a professional return as a player.

"{I actually played in a benefit match the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my child or son decides to play instead."

Murs and his wife his partner have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.

"I won't push football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their weekend football side," he added.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly owned a football club for a period too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our team for two or three seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is already stronger with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this game will be fairly tight, though. The Clarets are well organised and their sole home losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

It suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

The singer's prediction: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their past two games - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, West Ham secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at home, they do look competitive again.

West Ham's only away victory this season came at Forest in August, when their manager Nuno was still that team's manager.

Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - will it be the Hammers continuing their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I am going to choose the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Villa was a blip.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

The guest's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the season began, but they have impressed a several people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their last four matches.

My son told me to get Brentford forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will likely score again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.

They have not had much success on the road this season, and the Seagulls are always strong at their stadium. Brentford will try to attack on the break but I think the home manager's side pose much more of a threat.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

The singer's prediction: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality proves to be rather tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.

Fulham have got plenty of quality in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.

Their performance in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not seen anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of last month.

But I am not going to choose that. Rather, I truly need to carry on opposing the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.

Looking at Fulham's home record, the only side they have lost to is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be extremely desperate for a good outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

Olly's choice: I know the visitors are doing well and also that Fulham are on a poor run... but Fulham have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but might they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
